The weekly visits to Extendicare long term care centre for the elderly continues. The volunteers have been going to Extendicare on Tuesdays, during their lunch time and serving the elderly who are unable to help themselves with the food. The food has to be broken up with a spoon and fed to the residents. There is a great need for more volunteers. About Us
Toronto Chapter Activities

Toronto Chapter is busy with various activities including: bee farming, tree planting, organic gardening, park cleanups and monthly soup kitchens, and visit to the elderly.

Delicious vegetarian meals are prepared and delivered to the Georgetown Bread basket, on a monthly basis. Amma’s kitchen continues at the St. Felix Centre in Down town Toronto.

For the past four years, we have been maintaining New Castle park in Brampton. We clean and maintain it through spring, summer and fall.

The Children at risk from St.Felix centre were taken to the African Lion Safari this year This is the second year we are participating in this rewarding activity. It adds joy to the lives of several children who do not get an opportunity to enjoy the little things in life.

The Canadian center has been buzzing with bee keeping activities throughout the year. The Amrita bees survived the winter and have a new queen. The Bee conference conducted in May was a great success.

Toronto Satsang Members have been teaching Integrated Amrita Meditation at the local prisons, Maplehurst and Vanier for the last two years.

A new program has been launched, in which our volunteers participate in feeding the elderly at Extendicare long-term care for the elderly. We are also helping the seniors by teaching them exercises and giving them company when the need arises.
