Soup Kitchen:The soup kitchen at Georgetown Bread Basket continues to go well. Close to seventy five people are served vegetable chili, bread and pastries every month. Those who would like to participate in soup kitchens may please advise toronto@ammacanada.ca as.

Recreational activities for children at risk: Last year, volunteers from Amma's Toronto group accompanied thirty-seven children from downtown Toronto to Niagara Falls. This year Amma Foundation is arranging a picnic for the children on June 19 at the African Lion Safari near Cambridge, Ontario. This was a special treat for the 'children at risk' who are being served by St. Felix Centre. The trip gave the children as well as the volunteers an experience they could not otherwise have enjoyed. .

St. Felix CentreThe soup kitchen at St. Felix Centre in downtown Toronto was conducted once a month during the winter. Every month, lunch was prepared and served to twenty five 'children at risk' who live in the neighbourhood and their mentors.

TD Canada Shoreline Cleanup: Amma foundation's Toronto Youth group gathered at Erindale Park to participate in the shoreline cleanup project by TD Canada trust. The shoreline cleanup is one of the largest conservation initiatives of the Vancouver Aquarium. The goal of this program is to allow people from all walks of life to make a positive difference to their environment. We split into two groups and spent the entire morning cleaning up. Erindale Park is a beautiful park and it was quite saddening to see so much litter. We felt that it was a very rewarding activity because we were able to contribute to making a change and participate in preserving the environment. There were other groups present from other organizations , and we were able to interact with them as well. We hope to organize more activities of this nature in the future.
